The error is for the moment just in Word. That is because I haven't used other applications as much every bit however. I just got Office 365.
I followed the steps of repairing Office and information technology has stock-still the problem.. BUT
It is really disappointing that Office 365 should have this problem. Why doesn't Microsoft look into this and fix information technology?
It would be atrocious if I just spend hours twiddling my thumbs while the repair takes place online, not to mention the data being used.

I had this aforementioned problem too - very frustrating. My state of affairs was the same as described above merely only for MS Word (non for other O365 applications). I was able to "salve" a document (without re-naming it), but could non exercise a "save as" functioning to change the file name.
Following another thread on the issue, there was a suggestion to re-first Discussion. I had not re-started Word for a week or ii, and so I decided to try this as the least intrusive potential ready. Turns out I also had a notification in in my MS Word window that there were O365 updates available, which also required that I shut down all O365 applications. So after all of this, once I re-started Word, my trouble was fixed.

This solution is unacceptable without the power to salve showtime.
I can't restart or repair Word because I'm unable to save my document in the commencement identify. In order to impliment Microsoft'due south solution, I lose any work. My file was marked every bit Read But when I opened it (it doesn't matter what it is when you endeavor to save it, which is another bug) so the only option is Relieve As, which doesn't work.
These bugs seem pretty important to normal performance and seem to have been around for a while. Prioritize information technology!
I guess I'll only beginning my 24-hour interval over now...

I was able to save files after restarting Word. Clear your working memory once in a while!
For others who discover this solution completely unusable, I was able to email it as an attachment to myself so that work isn't lost. You lot evidently don't take to save to do this. Bank check that it looks correct before exiting Word. Also, it only works if you apply Outlook, so it's non helpful for anybody. Note, I created a new doc then sent that; I assume that doesn't matter but but in case...

Hi anybody, yes I concord this just happened to me - very frustrating!
Another way to save your work is to copy the content and paste it into the Wordpad app which comes with Windows. You can then shut down give-and-take and reopen and paste the content dorsum.
